ABOUT CNRLIGHTS

CNRLights is a computerized Christmas light display put on primarily by Chance Reecher (with help from some friends) at his home located at 5906 Buttermilk Road in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Having put up his family's light display every year since he was 5, Chance decided in 2006 after watching the internet video of Carson Williams' light show that he would someday do the same thing. For various reasons, the light display wasn't computerized until 2009, when Chance received, the Light-O-Rama starter kit for his 15th birthday. Chance's first computerized display was for his church's youth group's Christmas in July, conveniently located at his neighbor's house. With about 11,000 lights synchronized to "Grandma got run over by a Reindeer," the display was a big hit, and sparked interest in what was to come in December. Putting on a show like this isn't easy, and takes weeks of preparation. Chance's entire November (and now October) is dedicated to planning, setting up, and programming the show. The display was very popular in 2009, with news stories by both NBC25 and The Record Herald. Over 150 cars have visited the show in one night. Thankfully, traffic has not been a problem... yet.
